Should You Stay Put or Bug Out?

Should You Stay Put or Bug Out?  There are 2 basic philosophies that most people adhere to when preparing to face a disaster situation. One is staying put and sheltering in one place and the other is getting the heck out of Dodge (bugging out). You have to decide which one is best for you and then acquire the resources necessary to carry it out. Your plan could actually be created around a little of both of these scenarios.  That way you can play it by ear as the situation unfolds. There are a few questions you'll need to answer to make a proper determination. Are you living in the city, the suburbs, or a county?  Do you see your neighbors as potential allies or threats? Would you be capable of forming a defensive perimeter around your property and have the weapons to defend and protect it? Would you be able to safely remain there for as long as you need to? Are there any special circumstances within your family that would prohibit you from bugging out?  These are

Survival Networking

How do you see yourself? Are you a lone wolf? Do you trust in yourself above all others when it comes to your survival? A lot of 'preppers' are very determined people who will stick to their guns when it involves the survival of themselves and their families. Some individuals find more comfort in having a support group they can rely on during an emergency situation. Networking can be a viable option in terms of survival. It means you don't have to manage everything all by yourself.  When perilous times hit, people will be pushed to the limit, going above and beyond the normal scope of their psychological and physical capabilities. When you belong to a network of like-minded people it gives you a community that works together to help save lives. This kind of support can be life saving. However, you shouldn't wait until a disaster strikes before you start getting ready. Being caught off guard can truly be devastating. Survival Networking  How do you see yours

Preparing for Disaster

Regardless of what caused the crisis, survival concepts remain the same. It's true that we haven't been forced to live from day to day as if imminent danger was near. However, the widespread civil unrest that's going on is a very plausible threat to society as long as they continue to push people past their breaking point. If a crisis should occur, you should be immediately prepared and able to provide the 4 basic provisions which are  - 1. Food  2. Water  3. Medical Supplies  4. General  Shelter and the necessary security needs for yourself and your family as well. When the usual suppliers run out of what you need a backup plan will keep you from going without. Food and water. Everybody needs these in order to survive. They should be at the top of your priority list. Without them any other provisions are pretty much futile.  SHELTER Should the disaster you face occur during a hard winter blizzard, tornado, or hurricane, shelter can be a real concern.

What survival defense is all about ?

Well, when speaking statistically it would be very unlikely that the U.S., Great Britain, and many other Western nations will be plummeting into societal collapse. However, you should never discount the fact that our society has undergone some precautionary testing to reveal warning signs. When hurricane Katrina wreaked havoc on the Gulf Coast, it proved that man-made infrastructure could not withstand the powerful forces of nature. It also revealed the lengths, depths, and heights that American families and individuals would go to ensure survival during an emergency wherein the government reacts far too slowly.  This slow reaction from the government seems to be a common thread among survivalists and is part of their mindset. Regardless of the type of disaster or when it happens, as human beings we inherently feel like we need to fend for ourselves, because we care more about our own circumstances than any special agencies. There have been far too many incidents in which local, s

Introduction about survival defense

It's going on all around us. There are hardworking citizens spending their hard-earned dollars to make fallout shelters out of their homes. These people are committed to learning survival skills as well as self-defense strategies and tactics. It has been estimated that we have over 3 million U.S. citizens who see themselves as 'preppers' and who are spending time, money, and physical labor on acquiring resources to be prepared for the worst.  All survivalists have their own unique ideas of how the impending apocalypse will reveal itself. What they all have in common is the belief that this event is just around the corner. Anyone who watches the news today cannot help but see some of what they see with all the hype and deep paranoia displayed on our TV sets.  Anyone can see how the weather itself seems to be blowing in doom and destruction. Tornadoes, earthquakes, and hurricanes are much more commonplace today than ever before in history. Then you have viruses and d
